Thank Goodness For All the Prayers

I just want to tell you that "prayers" really do work! Aubrey has had a rough few days but they now have her out of the ICU area and on the antepartum floor. The babies appear to be growing good every day and they are now monitoring her only 3 times a day for an hour each time. She was having to lay flat on her back and not move for hours and believe me when I tell you that she has not been a very "happy" patient. I took the girls up to the hospital tonight and Morgan got to wheel her Mom around for a short ride in the wheelchair. She will be 28 weeks this Friday so we are getting closer to our 32 week goal. Thanks again for all the love and the prayers. They are felt by all of us! Oh and don't tell her I told you but her feet are so swollen that she looks like Fiona from Shrek :-))))

Twins update

Aubrey and I went to the Dr today and her BP was very high and she was diagnosed with definite eclampsia. She is now at Palmetto Richland in L and D where they are evalutating her. They gave her the shot today to strengthen the babys lungs and will give her another tomorrow. They are in hopes that they might be able to hold her off until 32 weeks( she is now 27) but they said they would take it one day at a time. Please say a prayer for her and our babies!

Twins News

Well Baby B "finally " decided to show HERSELF!!! Thats right.......2 little girls. I am thrilled. I love pink, you all know it so therefore I adore little girls. However we need all the prayers we can get. Aubrey and I spent most of the day at the hospital MAC( maternity assessment center) unit. Her BP was high and she gained alot of weight in 2 weeks which was mostly fluid so they wanted to check her for preeclampsia. Most of the blood test came back ok but she had to do a 24 hour urine test and go back tomorrow for more test. She is 27 weeks and needs to "cook" these little girlies a little longer. She is now officially on complete bedrest until the end of her pregnancy. She will also see a high risk Dr Friday. I will let you know how it goes but seriously, we need all your prayers.

Driving the Boat

Okay.......this is just wrong!!! I am so afraid to drive the boat and charles has done everything to teach me but I am just plain scared. He takes Gabbie and Morgan out and they just take the wheel like its nothing! I am so jealous! Oh well, I guess this summer I will try again.......

Is it Friday yet??

Somebody please tell me its FRIDAY!!!! I am so exausted! Work has been a pain in the rear, I went to Aubreys late last night because she was spotting, so guess who is now on bedrest.? We hope its not permanent. She has a DR appt on Monday but from what they said at the hospital last night, she is ok and not going into pre-term labor( Please say a Prayer) I didn't get alot of sleep because I was worried and I desperately need to work out to release some stress. I need a break!

Getting back in the swing of things

After a week of "getting used to each other", Preston and I are finally starting to bond. He is so beautiful and such a joy, however I know now why Heavenly Father gives babies to younger women. I am doing my best to keep up. He is so sweet(most of the time:-) that it makes it easier. I will say this, I am exausted at the end of the day. I may even lose more weight because I don't have time to eat.

Worried

You know I always try to be positive but some days it is really hard. Some of my family members are unemployed and I worry so much about them. I wish I was a millionaire so I could just "take away" all their worries. This world can be so tough and it seems like it is getting tougher every day. I don't know what the answer is but I do know that the Lord will not give us more than we can bear. He PROMISES us that and I am going to hold him to it. Anyway, this is just the rambling of a worried Mom. I will just continue to pray. I guess thats all we can do.

Man/Womans Best Friend

Rafe is the best dog you could ever have. He loves to cuddle! Jamie brought him home 7 years ago and he was supposed to be her dog but you know the rest of the story........Anyway we love him very much.

Oh well.....I guess I should congratulate Jamie on her "Florida Gators" winning the national championship! Lucky for me , I was asleep when she called last night to GLOAT but poor Charles talked to her and told me she was super excited. Of course I think alot of that has to do with seeing Tim Tebow.......I'm just saying!!!!!!!!

Preston......is my adorable little eggroll! He is extremely beautiful, of course we knew he would be. Just the sight and smell of him excites me. I could just eat him! PaPa said today that he has the most beautiful smile and PaPa is right! He hasn't been here but 10 weeks so we aren't really sure about his personality yet but I do know he loves to be held and talked to and I am happy to oblidge. I am looking foward to the future, watching him grow. What fun! Preston you are a precious gift and GaGa loves you.

Adam

Adam James.......looking at him is like going back 26 years. He looks so much like his daddy except he has his Moms beautiful eyes. He is by far the happiest baby I have ever seen. If I had a dollar for everytime I have seen him smile in his first year here with us, I would be a millionaire. He is just starting to show a little mischevious side( wonder where he gets that from?) I was able to spend alot of special time with him right after he was born and I will always "cherish" my time with the little man! Adam......GaGa adores you and could just take a bite out you, but I won't. :-))

Sadie

Sadie ......is as adorable and cute as her name. Up until recently, she was very shy but she has turned into quite the social butterfly lately. She is very pretty, especially when she smiles. I can't stop looking at her! I look forward to watching her grow up into a young lady. I have a feeling, its going to be alot of fun! Little Miss "Sadie".......GaGa is your biggest fan!

Nicholas

Nicholas is ADORABLE and all Boy! He is very active and loves to throw the football with his Dad. Uncle Jason says he throws a great spiral with the football! I am sure he would love to play for the Florida gators one day. ( I won't hold that against him :-)) Nicholas loves movies , games, and just being around everyone. He is very social and give the " juciest" kisses around! I love his dimples. We are so blessed to have him in our family. Nicholas.....we love you!

Ariel

Ariel.......our little "Mermaid" did not come to us in the conventional way but she has become our grandaughter just the same! She is beautiful inside and out. She is so loving and it is amazing to me how it seems like she has always been a part of our family. She is VERY girlie! She loves clothes,watching her Bonus Mom, Jamie do makeup, watching movies, playing games. She and Morgan have become best cousins. Oh and she thinks 'Edward" is better looking than Joe Jonas and I have to agree! Ariel......GaGa loves you and PaPa and I are so glad that you are part of our family.

Well Baby B still will not open hers or his legs. The Nurse said she "thinks"
its a girl but really can't tell for sure. Aubrey has just decided it must be 2 girls!
Oh well the baby is just being a little mysterious!!! Another ultrasound in 2 weeks, stay tuned...........

Julianne

Julianne.........what a ray of sunshine! Julianne has the sweetest personality. Everyone loves being around her, especially me and PaPa. She is always( at least at our house :-)) in a great mood. Some of her fave things to do are read, play games, watch Tom and Jerry cartoons and play soccer. She has the most adorable freckles! She is just plain happy and makes everyone around her happy too. " Little Miss Sunshine" .......GaGa loves you.

Isaac

Isaac, the first grandson! What fun! Isaac was one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen. He looked like one of those china dolls. Issac loves dinosaurs, he loves to read,he loves games and just about anything that challenges him. He loves soccer and is really good at it. He especially loves to be "tickled" by his PaPa.

As you can see by his picture, he has turned out to be quite a handsome young man! Isaac .....GaGa loves you very much!

Morgan

Catherine Morgan.......she is her mothers child( although I am told that she looks like me) need I say more? She came into this world very curious and still is. She is SOOOOOOO much fun to be around. You never know what she is going to come up with! She loves babies more than anyone I know, which is good since her Mom is having twins. She and I have had quite a few fun adventures lately which I wouldn't trade for a million bucks. She is also a very compassionate child and truly cares about others. She loves to sing and has a beautiful singing voice. She is just plain fun to "hang out with"!!! Morgan......GaGa loves you very much.

Gabrielle

Better known as Gabbie....Oh my gosh, what can I say about her. She is perfect( just kidding) I guess its the first grandchild thing and all! Seriously, she is one of the nicest young women I know. She is so kind and thoughtful. She is always so appreciative for all that Charles and I do for her and she never hesitates to say "Thank You" even for the smallest things. She is a perfectionist( hence the perfect thing :-)) She gives her best in everything she does. She loves to dance and works hard to be so good at it. Everyone I know that meets her, loves her. She is like a best friend to me. Gabz I love you.

The Elyptical

I am convinced that hell will be a never ending elyptical! I did 40 minutes on it tonight and it about kicked my rear but it also made me feel so much better. I haven't worked out in 3 weeks because of being sick and the "holiday" stuff so it was time. Gotta just keep it up. I watched Oprah yesterday and it got me revved up again!

Grandchildren

Is there anything in this world better than "Grandchildren"? I don't think so!
Charles and I are so blessed to have the best grandkids in the world. They are so much fun. I am going to spotlight each one of them starting at the top, with Gabbie and ending with our newest, Preston.

Upcoming event!

Yes, its what you think!! Twins........Our daughter Aubrey is having 2 babies. We know Baby A is a girl and we are praying Baby B is a Boy ( couldn't tell on the ultrasound last time) We will be happy though with just healthy babies. How exciting! Stay tuned for more.................

Can you find me?

Of course you can!!! 340 lbs is hard not to see. This is me at my highest weight, of course at least Jimmy looks great and it was a great day! I think sometimes when we look at ourselves we don't realize just how big we are. I know I didn't. I hope to never be that "huge" again. This is why I had gastric bypass surgery. I don't even know who that woman is.......

The New and Somewhat Improved me!

Now this is better! I can fly without a seatbelt extender, yeah....... My life has changed so much. This surgery is not a magic bullet but it helps. It is still a constant battle and I assume it will be for most of my life. I still have a little way to go but hopefully this year, I will get that last 25lbs off. Wish me luck!

Mom

This is dedicated to my Mom who leaves for her mission in Hong Kong in a few weeks. My Mom is on of the most courageous women I know. Our family owes her so much. I know she will do a great job and change the lives of many people. Good Luck Mom, we will all be here waiting when you return.
