A day in the life of a new Mom

One minute Aubrey was talking to me and then the next minute she was passed out! Poor baby! I stayed with her today and will be there tomorrow too. We were BUSY!!!!!

My Baby

Jimmy called me today because he was sick with a stomach virus, now let me explain.......Jimmy hardly ever calls me because he is so busy with his own family and working. Its been hard but any mother of a son knows what I am saying. Once they grow up and get married and have their own lives, you hardly ever hear from them and I have come to accept it. He is a wonderful father and husband and I am truly proud of him. I just miss him sometimes. Anyway the fact that he called me today because he was sick and I guess wanted to hear my voice made me feel happy. Sad that he was sick but happy that he called me. Does this rambling make any sense???? Anyway, he may grow up and leave but he will always be " My Baby".

Strawberry Time

Morgan and I went "strawberry" picking today. It was HOT!!! We had fun although after picking about 30 minutes, Morgan was ready to go.

Big Boy

The other night at Aubreys baby shower Adam came "strolling" across the room pushing another little boy in a stroller who was about as big as he was! It was too cute! Boy do they grow up fast!

Amazed

I am so amazed at how wonderful Gabbie and Morgan are with their sisters. Not that I had any doubt but it is so wonderful to see. I went over tonight to relieve Aubrey and Ashley so they could get some sleep and Gabbie and Morgan were soooo helpful. It was so cute to watch Gabbie change a "poopy" diaper. She was like " ewww this is so gross". I had to laugh! We had some excitement when Gracies monitor went off( the lead had come loose and neither one of us knew what to do ) and we had to wake Aubrey but luckily she was able to go right back to sleep. I am impressed at how they are pulling together as a family. These babies are so blessed to have a family like them.

Aubrey loved all the nurses at the hospital but especially Graham! She was off the day they left the hospital but came in to see them off. How sweet! I think she loves them too :-)

They're home!

Its official, The twins are home. Iwent over tonight and Aubrey is absolutely "glowing". It does my heart so good to see her so happy. I know it has been a long time coming. We have all been blessed so much. I know they feel overwhelmed, I know I do. Those girls are so blessed to have been born to such loving parents and sisters. I will post pictures tomorrow. I am exausted! It has been a long 15 weeks.

VB are at the top of my lists these days, probably because the "Coach" bags are out of my reach. That is unless my Husband becomes Donald Trump( not likely.......couldn't stand the hair or the smirk)

Coming Home

Word around "Town" is that the babies are coming home Thursday! We can hardly wait. It has been a long haul but I can see the Lords' hand in all of it. It is amazing how everything has turned out. My Cup Runneth Over.............

Shower for the Twins

Kristie hosted a baby shower for Gracie and Maddie. The Branch helped too. It was great. Everyone has been so kind to Aubrey and her family. Thank you to everyone who came!

First trip to "Build A Bear"!

Julianne had never been to "Build a Bear" so we planned a trip this Sat. She seemed to have alot of fun! She picked out a cute puppy and named her " Cutie". PaPa met us there for lunch. Julianne commented it was a great day and I agree!!!

Gracie and Maddie week 8

Can you believe it??? 8 weeks have really flown by! They are doing well. Gracie is almost 7 lbs and Maddie is a little over 4lbs. Gracie loves her bottle, they just started giving her enough to satisfy her so she is happy. Now hopefully soon they will give "Little" Maddie more. She is HUNGRY!!!! I can't wait until they come home. Hopefully by this time next week, Gracie will be sleeping at home and Maddie will be closer too.

Gracie and Maddie week 7

Its Friday and you know what that means!! My time to go and see the worlds most beautiful "twin girls". They are 7 weeks old today. Time really flies doesn't it? Gracie passed the carseat test which means she will be coming home soon. Maddie still needs to grow a little more . She has lost a little weight and is back at 3 lbs 13 oz. She is gaining again though so that is good news. They were so alert today. Aren't they beautiful???

Nicholas turned 8 today! I can't believe how fast he is growing. He is such a sweet and loveable young man! Happy Birthday sweetie!

Spring is here!

Well it looks like "Spring" has arrived. I love the color of these azaleas! Pink is my favorite color.

They don't bloom for very long so I wanted a picture while they were in bloom. Besides I heard we are supposed to have a hard freeze this week and there goes the flowers. SC weather is so wierd..............
