Moving on up!

The babies are moving on up!!! They are now in room 6 which is a BIG step up! They are both taking bottles now which is great. I am gettin so excited, can't wait until they come home. My arms ACHE for them and I can only try to imagine how Aubrey feels. I will put some pics of them up as soon as I get some new ones. Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts for all the prayers and the love.

A room with a View

Charles and I got away this weekend for some much needed "relaxation!" We got a steal too. $47 a night and the place was really nice and it had a beautiful ocean view which was great since it was almost too cold most of the time to go out on the beach. You will see some crazy kids in the water but I am told they are canadians and that the water was actually warm to them. Oh well, the sun did come out on Sunday and of course today(the day we leave :-)) was beautiful. It is good to be home though.

Gracie week 5

Our little "big" girl is now 5 weeks old today. She weighs 5 lbs 12 oz. She gets to hopefully start eating again tomorrow. Yay! I have seen that nose somewhere, mmmmmmmmm????

Maddie week 5

I can't believe it has been 5 weeks today since Maddie was born. I didn't get to hold her today so I apologise for the picture. She is getting bigger though. Close to 4 lbs( I think)

Happy Birthday Mom

Today is my Moms birthday! This is the first birthday that I can remember where I haven't been able to talk to her. I know she is doing the Lords' work and we are all very proud of her but we miss her so much. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM

Morgan

I went to Morgans school/PTA musical event tonight. The kids were great. It was all about our wonderful "Palmetto" state. Morgan is holding her art project. It was alot of fun!

The mullet mohawk

Please forgive me.........I couldn't resist. I saw this guy at Morgans school and this has to be the ugliest haircut I have ever seen! Aubrey called it a " mullet mohawk". Where do these people come from???????

Squash for breakfast?? Not my idea of yummy but Preston loved it! The little man loves to eat. It is so cute the way he slurps the food off the spoon.

5 Months old

My little man is 5 months old! Its hard to believe! He is so pretty, high maintenance but pretty :-))

1 month old!

Aubrey and I went to the hospital friday to see the babies. They are 1 month old! Hard to believe. Time has gone by so fast. Gracie had her eyes wide open,isn't she beautiful? Maddie was asleep the whole time. Something tells me she will "Wake" up once she gets home!!!!

Friday Night Lights

Last night I got to go on a special date with my son to watch the gamecocks play. I had a great time although it was a little too cold! GO GAMECOCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankful

Just want to say "Thank You" and " I love you" to all my family and friends. I don't have alot of friends but those that I do have, I know are the BEST in the world and I treasure them. This past week my family suffered a loss and even though we were not on good terms with this person, it was a loss none the less. It made me realise how important it is to love each other and to be able to say you are "sorry" if needs be. I want my children to know that they mean everything to me! I haven't always been the best mother but I have been there for them, always and as long as I am breathing, I will be there. I learned this week that relationships are very fragile and we all have the responsibility to keep them together. I also realised how very blessed I am to have the love of my children. I know I don't usually blog about personal stuff but I felt the need to say Thanks to all the people I love and love me back. I feel very blessed.

we're growing!!!!

We are growing......Gracie has just topped 5 lbs( YEH!!!!!) and Maddie is up to 3 lbs 4 oz. They are now able to wear their own clothes too. Big Girls, aren't they?

Gracie and Maddie week 3

Well the girlies are 3 weeks old today( or should I say 34 weeks ) They are doing well. Gracie had a little setback today. They were feeding her a bottle and she started spitting up alot so they did an xray which showed she has some intestional inflamation so they have stopped her feedings and are giving her antibiotics to clear it up. They told us this is common among preemies because their digestive systems aren't quite mature yet. They think they caught it before it could spread into the bloodstream. Please say a prayer for her! Maddie is now on feedings again so we hope her tummy will be ok. Today was a rough day for Aubrey too, she feels so helpless. Please keep her in your prayers.

Loving to eat

Preston loves to eat!!! When he sees me making his bottle, he LITERALLY snatches the bottle out of my hands. Here he is eating sweet peas( btw, it is hi Moms fave vegetable) He kept grabbing the spoon. I felt like I needed 6 hands just to keep up with him. Cute , huh????

I am growing up!!!

Their home away from home

Their little isolettes are so cute! Graham , one of the nurses made their cute name tags and Mommy and Daddy bought a stuffed bear and GaGa ( not to be outdone:-)) bought their first doll. Morgan colored a beautiful picture for each of them You can't see it in the picture but there is a family picture of Daddy, Mommy, Gabbie, and Morgan inside each crib to watch over them until they can come home.
